Who we are

Auralis.education is an independent IELTS practice platform. This Privacy Policy applies to this website and the associated backend services used to provide accounts, subscription access, and task generation.

Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, password hash, email verification status.
  • Session data: a session identifier stored in a cookie (used to keep you logged in).
  • Usage data: weekly counters for feature usage and entitlement checks.
  • Billing data: Stripe customer/subscription identifiers (payment details are handled by Stripe).
  • Support/security data: limited technical data required to operate and secure the service.

How we use data

  • To create and manage your account, including email verification and password resets.
  • To provide access to Free and Pro features, including enforcing usage limits for Free users.
  • To process subscriptions and manage billing status via Stripe.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.

Sharing

We share data only to provide the service:

  • Stripe for subscription billing and customer portal access.
  • Email delivery provider (SMTP) to send verification and password reset emails.
  • Infrastructure/hosting required to run the website and API.

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. Security- and token-related data (such as reset tokens) is retained only as long as needed to operate those flows.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Where applicable, you may also have the right to data portability.

Security

Passwords are stored using a one-way hash. Sessions use httpOnly cookies to reduce exposure to client-side scripts. No method is perfect; you use the service at your own risk.
